Our platform is not intended for children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update our privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our platform, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this privacy policy.
You are advised to review this privacy policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this privacy policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
14. Affiliate Links and Monetization
Writesimpli allows users to include affiliate links in their content that may generate commissions or other forms of compensation. This section explains how we handle such content and the privacy implications:
- User Responsibility: Users who include affiliate links in their content are solely responsible for complying with all applicable disclosure requirements, including those set by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in the United States or equivalent regulatory bodies in other jurisdictions.
- Disclosure Requirements: Users must clearly disclose to readers when their content includes affiliate links (e.g., "This post contains affiliate links" or "Some links in this article are affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission if you make a purchase").
- Data Collection: When readers click on affiliate links in user content, third-party affiliates may collect certain data from those readers according to their own privacy policies. Writesimpli does not have control over this data collection.
- Platform Position: Writesimpli does not endorse any products or services promoted through affiliate links and does not participate in or receive any portion of commissions generated through user-posted affiliate links unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Tracking and Analytics: We may collect anonymized data about interaction with affiliate links solely for the purpose of analyzing platform usage patterns, but we do not track individual user behavior with respect to affiliate link engagement beyond standard usage metrics.
We encourage all users to read the privacy policies of any affiliate programs they participate in to understand how their data and their readers' data may be used when engaging with affiliate links.
